Variable Valve Drive
The sophistication of today’s modern engine management systems are driven by strict governmental regulation mandating increased fuel economy and engine performance while lowering harmful emissions. This has driven the industry need to develop improvements to gasoline engine control systems, such as electronic throttle control, variable valve timing, electronic stability, and remote starting, to name a few. ST, with a strong portfolio of advanced technologies (BCD for combining precision analog, power, digital and non-volatile memory functions; VIPower for driving high current loads; Embedded FLASH 8/16/32-bit Microcontrollers for real-time control) coupled with extensive standard product offering, is ready to meet the changing market demands.
