 Today, a majority of vehicles manufactured come with a remote keyless entry (RKE) system either standard or as an option. Most RKE systems arm the vehicle against theft, lock/unlock the doors and trunk, and some include car finder functions and remote start. RKE systems consist of a key fob transmitter and a receiver inside the vehicle.
