NS无线基站解决方案

Base stations transmit/receive communications from a variety of devices such as cell phones, paging services, and other wireless transmission systems. As the demands of next-generation telecommunications increase, base station solutions will need to support more complex processing, modulation, higher data rates, and new air interface schemes. National Semiconductor has leveraged its analog expertise to meet these demands by providing industry-leading products in all 3 base station functional blocks: receiver, baseband, and transmitter.
1 Sector Transmitter



A base station is generally made up of a high power amplifier (HPA), low noise amplifier (LNA), modem, multiplexor, and up- and down- converters. For receiving digital data, the LNA boost the signals to the down-converter, which lowers the frequency and sends it to the modem. The modem demodulates the carrier, and the digital output goes to the demultiplexing device and then to its destinations.

2 Baseband Board


The baseband board functionality of a Wireless Base Station Transceiver includes: 1) Separating received signals into channels by combining correct time slots or coded messages. 2) Sending these signals to the Base Station Controller for compression. 3) Changing to another channel when directed by the BSC. 4) Converting channels back into analog, combining multiple voice channels, up-converting to IF, filtering, and amplifying signals for transmission to mobile subscribers.
