It is based around a powerful, programmable Nexperia media processor which allows you to easily develop and evaluate system designs and test application software. The STB500 offers Internet Protocol functionality, including video-on-demand, EPG (Electronic Program Guide), digital rights management and a variety of interactive and multimedia services. Advanced multimedia codecs enable support of web browsing, home networking and PC connectivity, gateway functionality, instant messaging and real-time VoIP (Voice over IP) – features increasingly demanded by end-users. In addition, the STB500 can be combined with a digital satellite, terrestrial or cable interface, as well as featuring MHEG5 (Multimedia and Hypermedia information coding Expert Group) software stacks, or an MHP (Multimedia Home Platform) middleware system. These substantially enrich the TV experience – and help you differentiate your products – by enabling advanced multimedia features. |
