AMD 家庭影院解决方案 ![]() THEATER™ 311, 312, and 314 are the latest in ATI’s industryleading line of DTV Receiver/demodulator IC products. The new devices are optimized for Digital Cable Ready television sets, dual-tuner (picture-in-picture) applications, and satellite set-top boxes. They are complete digital demodulator devices which receive the analog broadcast signal and output the recovered digital MPEG data stream. These compact lowpower products include high performance analog-to-digital converters, AGC functions, Forward Error Correction, and an I2C control interface. They also include built-in Bit Error Rate Test capabilities. The Theater™ 311, 312, and 314 incorporate unique “Search and Destroy” interference cancellation and other advanced techniques providing signal reception under tough conditions when other technologies completely fail to receive a signal. Theater 314, 312, and 311 comprise a family of advanced QAM and VSB demodulator ICs for the Digital Cable Ready and ATSC environments. The Theater 314 (T314) is configurable to operate in either the ITU-J.83B/SCTE DVS-031 compliant 64 QAM or 256 QAM modes used by digital cable systems, or the ATSC compliant 8VSB mode used in digital terrestrial broadcasting. For digitally modulated input signals (QAM or 8VSB), Theater 314 outputs a parallel or serial MPEG compliant transport stream. For the out-of-band FDC, Theater 314 performs the QPSK demodulation and provides a direct digital interface (clock and data) to CableCARDsTM. The Theater 312 (T312) offers the same functionality without the FDC out-of-band receiver. Theater 311 (T311) offers just the VSB demodulator function for ATSC-compliant TV sets and satellite set-top-box applications. Theater 314/312/311 demodulators enable equipment manufacturers to deliver high performance products to consumers. Theater 314/312 offers exceptional performance in the cable environment. Their adaptive blind equalization algorithms allow for fast acquisition times, while interference detection and mitigation algorithms provide robust performance in the presence of burst noise and adjacent channel interference. For digital terrestrial reception, the advanced equalizer in the Theater 314/312/311 provides exceptional dynamic and static multi-path performance. Superior performance in harsh environments is achieved by the use of robust synchronization and equalization algorithms. Furthermore, Theater 314/312/311s high level of integration allows manufacturers to develop high performance, high functionality products in a space and cost effective manner. The FAT channel is applied to a digital/analog tuner and converted to an IF signal. The IF signal is filtered and amplified by a single stage IF strip and then input to the THEATER 314. The incoming IF signal is captured by the THEATER 314 and demodulated to an MPEG compliant Transport Stream. The Transport Stream is supplied to the XILLEON processor for decoding and display. The FDC channel is applied to FDC IF Strip circuitry consisting of a filtering and amplification stage and an Out-of-Band mixer/amplifier. The THEATER 314 provides AGC and Local Oscillator signals for the Out-of-Band tuner. The demodulated FDC data is supplied directly to a CableCARD. THEATER 311, 312和314典型应用方框图:
