Analog Devices optical power monitoring and control solutions enable accurate and wide-dynamic range power measurements, whether interfaced to anode or cathode of the photodiode. In an EDFA application, power monitoring is crucial to performance of the amplifier. The linear-in-dB output provided by the optical log amps ensure the highest accuracy for measurement and control of EDFA gain.
