 Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) is a technology that uses sophisticated modulation schemes to pack data onto copper wires. Without interfering with voice service, DSL uses the extra bandwidth on phone lines to transmit data and ultimately, provide a high-speed connection to the Internet. It dramatically increases the digital capacity of ordinary telephone lines from switching stations into the home/office.
